Changes

You know when you start to get that itch towards the end of winter?  That itch that occurs when you've been cooped up too long in the same hole, looking at the same four walls.  When the broken blinds really start to grate on your nerves.

I've got that itch.  It may be because we've gotten record snowfalls every other week for the past two months here in Southern North Carolina!  (so glad I don't live up north) Or maybe it is because I really am tired of looking at blinds that the dogs/children have broken.  Either way - I'm ready for a change.

I bought new curtains (no I didn't make them, I wimped out - too much on my plate right now) for 6 of the windows in our house.  Love them!  And the blinds are in the trash!

I'm making some changes around me too.  I have some goals - not new years resolutions - but more of things I want to accomplish.  I'm 30 now, and out of shape.  Not overweight, just not able to do the things I used to do.  I want to change that.  I want to feel better about me again.

And I'm making changes here.  I hated my old look - too busy, too much, I'm so much more of a simplier gal.  Instead of paying for a blog makeover, I'm slowly doing it myself.  What do you think of the new header? Seriously can you see it all, because I have a big screen and it fits, but maybe not on a small screen.  What do you think of the new layout? Is it easier to read?

And lastly what changes are you making around you? Do you have the itch?

In need of a change

Look around, it's yucky in here.  And it's gross outside.
So I'm in need of a change.  A blog makeover sounds so nice doesn't it?

I sort of know what I want.  Something clean and simple, but nice and eye catching.

Now, where to go, where to go.

I know of two ladies who do makeovers for blogger, (and no I'm not switching to wordpress anytime soon -the task scares the begeezes out of me). But is there anyone you recommend?

Here's your chance to brag about your blog or your neighbors blog, or your friend who does blog makeovers.  Here's your chance to make me go check out the references!  Who should I go to for my new design?

For me?!?! Why Thank you , Thank you, Thank you.

So if you get the same award from 3 different people does that make you extra special, or the award just amazing?

Happy 101 was given to me by the gracious Emma at Toddler Awesome -  by the amazing Shandal at My Life in 3D, and by the dedicated Working Mommy at Lessons Learned

Of course they gave me an award that comes with rules - so I guess since I was a little cranky earlier in the week - I should really follow these rules. First I have to list 10 things that make me happy.  Just me?  Ok just me.

10.  Summer - or warmth, it doesn't actually have to be summer - above 70 degrees makes me happy.
9. Watching flowers grow and bloom.
8. Sleeping in
7. Godiva Chocolate
6. Watching someone learn something new
5. Singing out loud in the car by myself
4. reading a good book
3. not having a to do list
2. Spending one on one time with my hubby
1. Hearing the sound of laughter from my boys cascading though my house.

And now for the 10 people who I am passing this on to (because I'm following the rules today)!  There are some newbies I've found lately - I wanted to share with - so be sure to check them out.

lets TOAST or ROAST for my 100th post

I cannot believe I have been blogging for such a short time and have made so many wonderful bloggy friends.  When I first started, I didn't even know why I was writing and didn't tell anyone - even my hubby- for weeks.  (read my scary intro post here) Then I started poking around and found all these great groups like Multiples and More and SITS, then I found some ultra cool - could be my irish twin ladies (Mrs. Fish and Siloquiy Chick to name a couple).
And low and behold I started wanting people to read what I write (just like Speaking from the Crib said I would).
I wrote some funny stuff about dead lizards, some sad stuff about dying, and some screaming at the top of my lungs stuff.  Eventually I gathered a few followers and now, here I am, writing my 100th post.  YIPPEE.

So here is a toast to the brave one, the sassy one, the learned it along the way one.
Here's to the one who has really just begun.

Here's to the wit and the charm from the spell
That made sure you never said farewell

To Me and my glass of... and to you and yours!

Now your choice - toast or roast
