the dreaded parent/teachers conference

At 7:30 am on this Friday the 13th, I will be at school for a parent-teachers conference.  Notice I said teachers - not teacher.  Even though the twins are in separate classes, their teachers were nice enough to do a joint conference for me so I don't have to go to school on two different days.

For 30 minutes I will get to listen to the teachers tell me all about my children, their behavior and how they are progressing.

Wish me luck and very little embarassment.

The only reason I always try to meet and know the parents better is because it helps me to forgive their children. ~Louis Johannot

  1. Think positive. I'm sure everything will go just fine. What grade are they in? My son is 7, and he's in 2nd grade. We just had his conferences a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure they're doing great. Good luck.

  2. That is awesome that the teachers will come together for one conference so you don't have to do two! Good luck!

  4. I used to work in the education system and I'm here to tell you that sometimes teachers get nervous about conferences, too! ;o)

That quote up there is hilarious...and all too often true. I'm sure that's not the case with you, though. Right? Hello? Hey, where'd you go?

  5. Well, look at it this way...it must be all good stuff because the teachers are combining the conference. If it was REALLY that bad, they'd be having separate meetings with you. Just sayin!!

    Hope it goes well!
