We're gonna party like it's....

Today's the Day!

And we are going to party like it's 1999! - oh wait on New Year's Eve 1999, I had a fabulous trip to Boston, but while there got very sick, I don't even remember the countdown.

Ok- We're going to party like after lots of heartache, we just found out we're having twins! - oh wait, that happened too, and dear hubby collapsed from shock.  Not much of a party.

We're going to party like it's my birthday! -can't do that on either, the twins birthday' is the day before mine, and somehow I always get left out.

But, I'm not being left out today! So we are going to party like it is a fabulous girls day with all my SITStas!  Because that is what it really is!

After waiting a very long time, today is my day - it is all about me.  If you are a regular and don't know what SITS is, shame on you.  the Secret is in the Sauce is hosted by a couple of awesome bloggers, Tiffany and Heather.  They feature blogs and host events, and we, as SITStas, comment on every blog with this cute little logo, as our way of supporting one another.

If you are coming here from SITS, welcome, grab a glass of tea (or wine, or your toast of choice), and sit awhile.  I have lots of fun stories to tell.

As with every woman - I lead a crazy hectic life.  (Why we must all be superwomen I still don't know.) Generally this blog is about my life as a mom.  That includes stories of our identical twin boys, or our two year old terror.  I also work to raise awareness about heart defects, although not as much as some of my followers do.  Sometimes I write about what it is like to just be me, a sassy, optimistic realist, working away from home, coach, teacher, sister, daughter, wife, friend.

So there is a little something for everyone, and narrowing down to three top posts was hard.  Therefore I'm giving you a little variety.  You choose your poison, or as I tell the boys - it's slop, pick which slop you want.

if you want to read about gross boys check out ewwww
if you are interested in twins read the Before and After Twins
I could go to Jail for... has something for all Moms
for those of you who aren't mom's and go for the latest trends - be warned!
for those more serious, read about the moment that changed my life

I know, that is five posts, but that should cover all of you.  Please sit back, look around, read around, and then if you'd like, follow me around!  I will be going back to visit everyone who comments, it just may take awhile!  Enjoy your Monday - because this one is a party!

I am thankful for the mess to clean after a party because it means I have been surrounded by friends. ~Nancie J. Carmody

I myself have 3 boys a hubby and a male dog, we are also blissfully blessed with a baby girl that will be 2 soon. You have to have a good sence of humor with boys, cause you'll go crazy from the fart talk if you dont. :) Happy to meet you, love your blog and your funny bone.

  8. Holy mole poop! It's your day! I already follow you, but you know that! You know, I signed up for SITS a looong time ago, ok, so I haven't been blogging for a looooooong time, but it seems that way. I'm terrible with it though. I check out some of the featured blogs, but I don't get involved with it the way that it's set up. Maybe it has to do with time and it seems to take a lot following the blogs I already follow. So anynovel...congrats on your featured day woman!

Her uncle had the same problem and passed away in this thirties. The treatment she had wasn't available in his day. It's amazing what modern medicine can do sometimes. Happy SITS day!

  65. Hi,

I hope you feel like a queen today. I raise my hat to you for finding the time to take care of so many people while maintaining a great blog! I had 2 girls and its fun to dress them up and buy them Barbies but one day you wake up and they are teenagers with PMS. Now ever so often I wish I had boys. I deal with "boyfriend heartbreaks" and "Am I too fat?" etc... There is always some type of diva drama going on! Anyway enough about me because today is your day! So enjoy! :)

  66. Happy SITS day! I am excited to read your blog! We are in the process of adopting a little girl from China who has a complex heart defect, and I love to read all I can from people who have any experience with CHD!

Ok, just once, just one time I want to wear leg warmers with heels, cuz it looks cute on all the fashion bloggettes. Not that I have worn heels since I got pregnant with child number 2 (we now have 4) but just once.

Hammer pants, no thank you. Stir up pants, for God's sake no! I did buy rave the other day for nostalgia's sake and the fact that I was willing to try anything to control my daughter's fly-aways from her braids (it worked) but my bangs will never again touch the roof of the car. LOL

  150. Congrats to you - just You! on your SITS day. Yes, you deserve it. Back when I was a 34yr old single woman, minding my own business, I met a wonderful man who had 3 boys from previous marriage. We married and all 4 moved in at once.
Hubby, & boys - 7,10,&12. Talk about culture shock! Not the same as twins, I know - but very close to triplets.
We made it through and the boys are grown(ish) now. In fact, I have a beautiful 2-1/2 yr old grandson that has made all of those crazy years so worth it!
Enjoy those special moments. They really pass so quickly.

  169. Congrats on being the FB over at SITS.

Your I could go to jail post had me cracking up! I tried to get a picture of my little guy the one and only time he climbed in the dryer, but he was far too quick for me.

And your 80s picture in white ruffle is nothing compared to my electric blue tights, some bright colored top, and hot pink scrunch socks complete with a sideways pony tail. Now that is not how anyone wants to be remembered! :)
